March 26th @ 3:30 PM in UPS Auditorium
Hello everyone! I’m here to announce that the second HJF Virtual Lecture Series event this semester will feature Jen Golbeck. She is a computer scientist and researcher from the University of Maryland who studies how people and companies use social media in order to improve their interactions with it. In 2013, she published a book called Analyzing the Social Web and presented the TED talk “The curly fry conundrum: why social media “likes” say more than you might think.” Jen will be speaking with us and sharing her thoughts on the use of social media information, Internet safety, and other related topics. This event will take place on March 26th at 3:30 P.M. in the UPS auditorium. The virtual talk is free and open to the public, students, and faculty. We hope to see you there!
