April at Morningside has typically been the time to celebrate & discuss environmental sustainability. As one of the activities around campus this year, the Committee on Environmental Sustainability is sponsoring an Eco Art show for the first time. We have 10 pieces from 11 different artists. The show was open to students, faculty, and staff. It is up in the southeast corner of the Learning Center this week. We had 2 outside judges coming to judge the show Tuesday afternoon. The judges were Steve Paulson, local photographer and adjunct faculty in the Art Dept, and Jeanne Bockholt with the Northwest Iowa Sierra Club. They are awarding a $75.00 prize in each of the 2 categories: Art about environmental sustainability or ecology and art from recyclable materials or trash.
