Have you ever gone to your local library in search of a book and end up disappointed that they don’t have it? More importantly, have you ever gone and they said that book was banned? Well you’re in luck as there is a whole week dedicated to reading any books you want, banned or not. Banned books week starts September 23rd and goes through September 29th.
Books that have been banned can be found on the official website below. For example, To Kill A Mockingbird is on the ban list for its use of violence. It takes the top ten challenged books and goes into why they were banned. The lists are compiled by year, so you can go through and see the most recent books banned and ones that were banned in earlier years. I challenge you to go through the lists to see if your favorite book is on the list, hopefully it’s not...
